following their Ultra improve collaboration early last year, it looks like A Bathing Ape and the three stripes will be reuniting for another BAPE x adidas Superstar collection. While this certainly isn’t the first time that the power duo have serviced this famous silhouette, with the last time being 2017, this may just be their best take yet, and here’s everything that we know so far.
Info courtesy of @py_rates, the respectable sneaker insider has released a pair of very early mock-ups that probably won’t be 100% accurate when it comes time to release, though they do show a slew of pretty interesting details that are worth talking about. available in two colour schemes including “Core Black” and “Gold Metallic”, both pairs work on an all-white leather base that’s as clean as it gets.
1ST camo patterning gravitates towards the heel for a basic yet striking military-inspired look, while the famous shell toe arrives at the front of the shoe. three stripe branding glides across the lateral and medial side panels, and to round it all off, Nigo’s signature ape emblem swings onto the heel, finalising the design.
As pointed out before, these BAPE x adidas Superstar renders may not be 100% accurate, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole vendor for a lot more news as it develops! expected to launch sometime in January just one month after the Superstar’s 40th anniversary, they’ll set you back around £120 a pop. let us know which pair you’ll be grabbing, and in related news, the BAPE x Clarks Originals Collection has been unveiled!
