These two Air Jordan 1 Lows Are inspired by ’70s Nikes

The Nike Air Jordan 1 low is truly a sneaker of epic proportions, and two brand-new versions inspired by 1970s Nike silhouettes have just been unveiled to the masses. The AJ1 was debuted in 1985 as Michael Jordan’s first ever signature sneaker, launching in high, mid and low-top silhouettes.

The Jordan 1 has since remained one of the best-selling Nike models ever, and an absolute favourite for sneakerheads across the globe. two iconic ‘70s silhouettes, the Tailwind and the Astrograbber inspire this new pack, and we’re certain that Jumpman fans are going to go wild for these!

Both pairs take on a similar subtle colorway, with the black and grey pair inspired by the Astrograbber. designed for American football use, the Astrograbber debuted in 1976 and was popular during Michael Jordan’s time in high school.

Next up is the red accented pair which pays homage to the Tailwind “Night Track”, a special edition version of the legendary silhouette that was gifted to celebrities such as David Hasslehoff and Michael Jackson during the late 1970s. We’re pleasantly surprised with how well both of these colorways sit on the AJ1 Low, proving the versatility of the silhouette!
